Ruvheneko Secondary School was founded in 2016 on the belief that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our school's name, "Ruvheneko," reflects our commitment to providing a nurturing environment that empowers students to grow and thrive. Over the years, we have built a strong reputation for academic excellence, innovative teaching methods, and a supportive community that values the unique talents and abilities of each student.

From humble beginnings in 2016 as a satellite school of TC Hardy, Ruvheneko Secondary School has grown into a thriving institution. With just 5 teachers and 90 pupils, the school started with 2 prefabricated blocks and has come a long way. In 2017, the school's enrolment surged to 252 pupils and 11 teachers, marking the beginning of its journey towards excellence.

The school's infrastructure developed rapidly, with the construction of a standard block in 2018, which also saw the establishment of temporary offices. In 2019, we built the second block, and it was a milestone year, as our first batch of O-level students completed their exams with an impressive 60% pass rate. One of our students, Nyasha Bhashiko, showcased the school's athletic prowess by qualifying for an international competition.

The school continued to grow, and by 2020, our enrolment had increased to 600 students, with over 20 teachers. However, the COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges, and our enrolment and participation were put on hold. We restarted in 2023 with an enrolment of around 500 students and have since continued to invest in our infrastructure. Notably, we completed an Ablution Block in 2024 and fenced the school with palisade.

The school's commitment to sports and academics has yielded impressive results. In 2025, our talented footballer Mike Size was selected as the first-choice goalkeeper for the national under-15 team. This achievement highlights our ability to nurture well-rounded students who excel in both sports and academics.

Today, Ruvheneko Secondary School boasts several students who have progressed to A-levels and even university. As we look to the future, we're excited to introduce A-level programs and develop sporting facilities that will enable our athletes to participate in all sporting codes. With a strong foundation and a commitment to excellence, Ruvheneko Secondary School is poised for continued success.
